Collaborating Organizations

Active in Disaster (COAD-OC)

What is COAD - OC?

Collaborating Organizations Active in Disaster – Orange County is a coalition of non-profit organizations, private companies and local government entities that have joined forces to meet needs that are likely to arise when a disaster strikes Orange County. COAD membership organizations are committed to promoting training to enhance internal levels of preparedness and external response capabilities.

COAD membership organizations provide an extra level of response to the community by providing services and support through working with Orange County Emergency Services to assist the community with what is needed in the time of a disaster. These services might include: Volunteer organizations, Construction teams, Food handlers and supplies, Communications, Assistive Devices for the disabled and at time just plain old-fashioned people-power. By building this network, COAD-OC has and will continue to create a robust community that will respond, and support a long-term recovery from any disaster.
