Working Together to Ready Our Communities
Orange County isn’t acting alone when it comes to emergency preparedness. The State of California has its Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) at www.caloes.ca.gov and www.listoscalifornia.org Like ReadyOC, the state’s websites have a repository of information about disaster preparedness.
Non-profit organizations are also helping our community when it comes to disaster relief and disaster preparedness. The American Red Cross has www.preparesocal.org where you can find the tools and information you need to be prepared in an emergency.
City CERT Contacts
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) provides news and information for teams highly trained to assist first responders in emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, and flooding. Here are the CERT program phone numbers, email link, and staff members for the cities that have them. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks. Click on the city name to visit the CERT website — if the city has one.
Note: If your city does not have a designated CERT program, you may participate in the nearest city CERT training.
